General

Is Goodterm free?

Yes. Goodterm is currently in free beta, so you can use it at no cost. In the future, there will be Plus and Pro tiers for users who need more, but the free tier will always be available.

What AI does Goodterm use?

Goodterm is powered by Google Gemini. The AI helps you with conversations, semantic search, and understanding your records.

Does Goodterm work offline?

Not currently. You need an internet connection to use Goodterm, since your data syncs with the server and AI features require an active connection.

Can I use Goodterm on my phone?

Absolutely. Goodterm is fully responsive and works in any browser. You can also install it as a PWA or use the native Android app for the best mobile experience.

Records & Editor

Is there a limit on how many records I can create?

There is no hard limit on the number of records. You can create as many as you need within your tier's usage allowance.

Can I export my data?

Yes. You can export all your data as a full JSON file from your account settings. Your data belongs to you.

What happens when I delete a record?

Deleted records are not gone immediately. They are soft-deleted and kept for 30 days, giving you time to restore them if you change your mind. After 30 days, they are permanently removed.

Can I share records with others?

Yes. You can publish a record as a public, read-only link that anyone can view. You can revoke the link at any time to make the record private again.

Security & Privacy

How is my data secured?

Goodterm uses HTTPS for all connections, bcrypt for password hashing, and AES-256 encryption for sensitive data like TOTP secrets. Your data is protected both in transit and at rest.

Can someone else access my account?

Only if they have your password. For extra protection, you can enable two-factor authentication (2FA) with an authenticator app. With 2FA enabled, even a compromised password is not enough to access your account.

How do I reset my password?

Click the Forgot password link on the login page. You will receive an email with a reset link. No administrator can reset your password for you — only you can do it through the email linked to your account.

Where is my data stored?

Your data is stored on Goodterm servers in Europe.
