Data Export & Import
Back up your data or restore it from a previous export.
Goodterm lets you download a full backup of your data and restore it whenever you need. Your data belongs to you.
Exporting Your Data
Open the account dialog and look for the export option. Clicking it generates a JSON file that contains all your records and chats. The download starts automatically.
Keep this file somewhere safe. It serves as a complete backup of your Goodterm content and can be used to restore your data at any time.
What Is Included
The export contains all of your records (with their full content) and all of your chats (with their complete message history). This gives you a comprehensive snapshot of everything in your account.
Importing Data
To restore data from a previous export, open the account dialog and select the import option. Upload the JSON file you exported earlier, and Goodterm will restore the records and chats contained in it.
Importing is useful if you are setting up a new account, recovering after a deletion, or moving your content between accounts.
